URBAN COWBOY

Friday, December 19, 2014

i'm looong overdue for a trip to nyc, and next time i go, i'm staying a night at urban cowboy in brooklyn – a converted town home turned b&b. i initially was inspired by this place when i found them on instagram, and have since seen it popping up all over the place. they only have 4 rooms, though, ranging from $100 – $400 a night. {or a measly $2,000 to rent the whole cowboy}!

i imagine booking in advance is key. perhaps i should start planning now...  happy friday

FRIDAY.INSPIRATION

Friday, September 12, 2014

i've never been to nashville – but i'd love to sometime soon. especially now that we live in texas! we're so much closer. a few months ago kp was there for work and came across imogene + willie where he had a pair of "perfect" jeans made for him. personally, i'd like to check out all of their one of a kind items. this spot {clothing store / denim shop / vintage boutique} has a really cool story that i think it best told by them – found here.

happy friday!

TRAVEL // GLACIER.NATIONAL.PARK

Thursday, September 11, 2014

this past week was spent national-park-hopping / road tripping and i want to relive it already. we started in glacier, and though it got off to a rocky start {missed connections; lost baggage; extra 3 hour drives; etc} it was all worth it when we finally arrived. some highlights / must dos if you're ever in the area include:

stay @: glacier park lodgemany glacier hotel, or the islander inn – these are all so cozy and perfect in their own little way, and are near some of the best hiking + adventures.

if you'd prefer to camp {glamp} stay @ glacier under canvas – we visited their yellowstone location and it was a dream.

saturday was spent exploring a few new places we often heard/read about – starting with lunch at tamale house on east 6th. it was so simple and delicious and cute. i will eat here often. afterwards we popped into east austin succulents to get a few things for our little teeny tiny "front porch". what a gold mine...

tuscon.

Tuesday, April 1, 2014

last weekend we went to tuscon for a friend's wedding – my first time to arizona! i loved exploring where some of my bestest besties went to school. some moments worth mentioning:

hotel congress for welcome drinks, biking, and more biking – penca for mezcal cocktails, time market for breakfast {twice}, borderlands for beerflights by the train tracks, tap + bottlethe glorious sunshine and a hilarious rainy bike ride home, exo roast co. for unique pick-me-ups, our lovely little rental home, and of course a beautiful wedding filled with lots of love and dancing and {one too many} drinks. cheers!
